I got this for my mother so that she can learn how to speak basic English. I listened to the CDs and it comes with a little book that you can listen to the CDs and read along with the book. I highly recommend.
It is a great way to learn the very basics of the English language; and I mean the very very basics. "Hello" and "good" are some examples. Other than that, this book cannot help much with expanding your vocabulary. You wouldn't expect anything less from a book with such a title. Overall, I think it is a great starting point!
